Iraqi Prime Minister Ali al-Zaidi and the Chargé d’Affaires of the United States Embassy in Iraq, Steven Fagin, stressed the importance of dialogue and diplomatic means to reduce tensions, strengthen security and stability in the region, and safeguard the interests of its people.

The Prime Minister’s Media Office said in a statement obtained by PUKMEDIA that the meeting discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries and expand cooperation across various sectors and fields, contributing to further developing the partnership between Iraq and the United States.

It added that the two sides also discussed the overall situation in the region and stressed the importance of dialogue and diplomatic means to reduce tensions, enhance security and stability, and safeguard the interests of the region’s people.
