President Amedi Visits Karbala, Receives Welcome from Governor.

Iraqi President Nizar Amedi arrived in the governorate of Karbala on Wednesday, 9 September 2026.

He was received by Karbala Governor Nassif Jassim Al-Khattabi and Provincial Council Chairman Qasim Al-Yasari, along with a number of officials and heads of administrative units.

The President’s visit to Karbala reflects the Presidency’s commitment to supporting Iraq’s governorates and gaining a firsthand understanding of their conditions and needs. The visit also aims to support local government efforts to improve public services, promote development and strengthen stability for citizens.
