President Bafel Reiterates PUK's Continued Efforts to Promote Peace

PUK President Bafel Jalal Talabani and Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi.

Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, and Abbas Araghchi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, met in Tehran. During the meeting, which was attended by a high-level PUK delegation, discussions focused on the latest political developments and military changes in the region.

President Bafel Jalal Talabani emphasised that problems require peaceful solutions and ongoing dialogue.

He also reiterated the PUK's continuous efforts to establish peace and de-escalate tensions, stating that the Kurdistan Region respects the security and sovereignty of neighboring countries, and that a shared and ancient history binds us together with the Iranian people.

For his part, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran expressed his appreciation for the role of President Bafel and the PUK in their efforts to protect the stability of the Kurdistan Region, Iraq, and the region as a whole.
