Slemani Summit 2026 Enters Final Day with Focus on Sustainable Development

Slemani Summit enters its second and final day.

The Slemani Summit 2026 continues on Friday, 18 September, with its second and final day in the city of Sulaymaniyah under the theme, “Directing Capital Towards Sustainable Growth in Real Estate and Industry.”

The summit, regarded as a significant economic and strategic event for Iraq and the wider region, will address a range of key issues on its final day. Discussions will focus on developing local production, strengthening competitiveness, connecting the banking sector with the housing and industrial sectors, and exploring the future of housing projects, green infrastructure and sustainable development.

The day’s programme features three main sessions bringing together government officials, advisers, academics and experts from the economic, banking, industrial and environmental sectors. The sessions will also provide opportunities for discussion and the exchange of views.

The summit will conclude with a press conference to announce the official recommendations of the Sulaymaniyah Summit 2026, followed by an awards ceremony honouring participating companies, banks and factories.

The summit is organised by the Vision Foundation for Strategic Studies, with media support from the Kurdsat Media Corporation.
