Venezuela’s interim President Delcy Rodríguez has authorised Starlink, the satellite internet service operated by Elon Musk’s SpaceX, to operate in the country.

The authorisation is part of an agreement with the US company, the Venezuelan government said in a statement on Friday.

Starlink has continued to expand its global subscriber base through the launch of additional satellites and the development of a broader range of services for consumers, businesses, aviation, maritime operators and government agencies.
