Iraqi President Sends Condolences to Jordan Over Church Attack

President of the Republic Nizar Amedi on Friday strongly condemned the terrorist attack targeting a church in Jordan’s Karak Governorate.

In a statement, President Amedi said: “We strongly condemn the terrorist attack targeting a church in Karak Governorate in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, which resulted in a number of civilian casualties and injuries.”

He reaffirmed Iraq’s full solidarity with Jordan, stressing the need for concerted efforts to confront and eradicate terrorism in order to protect the security and stability of nations.

President Amedi also extended his sincere condolences to the families and loved ones of the victims, wished those injured a speedy recovery, and expressed his hopes for continued security, peace and stability for the people of Jordan.
