Qubad Talabani, Supervisor of the Secretariat Bureau of President Mam Jalal, has issued a congratulatory message marking the 37th anniversary of the founding of the Zhnan-Women’s Union of Kurdistan.

The full text of Talabani's message reads:

To the General Supervisor and Members of the Zhnan-Women’s Union of Kurdistan,

On the occasion of the 37th anniversary of the founding of the Zhnan-Women’s Union of Kurdistan, I extend my warmest congratulations and best wishes to you and all members of the organisation.

Throughout its history and struggle, the Zhnan-Women’s Union of Kurdistan has played a significant role in defending women’s rights and promoting their status in Kurdistan. At this important juncture, the organisation’s renewal and adoption of fresh ideas mark a significant step towards building a brighter future.

I am pleased to acknowledge the many valuable initiatives you have undertaken over the past year. These achievements represent a promising beginning for the important work and services you will continue to deliver to the women of Kurdistan.

I encourage you to make this renewal a fresh starting point for engaging more closely with the evolving demands and needs of women in Kurdistan. I urge you to become a genuine voice for their rights and aspirations, while promoting their meaningful participation in all areas of life.
