Mr Bafel Talabani
President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan
Greetings,
On the anniversary of the founding of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, I extend my warmest congratulations and best wishes to you, the leadership, members, and supporters of the PUK, wishing you continued success and progress.
On this occasion, we remember with deep appreciation and respect the historical legacy and struggle of the late President Mam Jalal.
The Patriotic Union of Kurdistan has a long history of struggle for the rights of the Kurdish people and has sacrificed thousands of martyrs in this cause. It has consistently held a significant and influential position in the political process of both the Kurdistan Region and Iraq.
On this anniversary, we reaffirm that shared responsibility, solidarity, and joint action among all political forces and parties are more important than ever, so that together we may protect the constitutional entity of the Kurdistan Region and safeguard the rights of the Kurdish people.
I hope this occasion will serve as a renewed opportunity to strengthen national unity and promote dialogue and mutual understanding in order to resolve differences and achieve stability, prosperity, and a better and more dignified future for the people of Kurdistan.
Nechirvan Barzani
President of the Kurdistan Region
